SPE Vacuum Manifolds

SPE Vacuum Manifolds are designed for efficient sample preparation, filtration, and elution. Available in 12- and 24-port configurations, these manifolds provide consistent and reliable extraction and filtration results while allowing multiple samples to be processed simultaneously, simplifying procedures and saving valuable time.

Each manifold consists of a clear glass vacuum chamber and lid. When vacuum is applied, samples are drawn through SPE columns, cartridges, or disks. Adjustable racks within the glass chamber accommodate a variety of sample collection vessels, including test tubes, autosampler vials, and volumetric flasks.

Eluents are delivered directly into the selected collection vessels through polypropylene needles, with optional stainless steel or Teflon needles available for applications requiring enhanced chemical resistance.

Optional drying attachments are available for both 12- and 24-port manifolds. These attachments direct a controlled flow of air or nitrogen into the collection vessels to facilitate drying of eluents prior to further analysis. They can also be connected, using suitable adapters, to SPE columns or cartridges to dry the sorbent bed before the final elution step.

For the 12-port manifold, disposable solvent-resistant polypropylene waste containers are available as an option. These containers simplify sample preparation, solvent collection and disposal, and system cleanup, providing a convenient solution for routine SPE workflows.

Advantages

  • Reduces laboratory processing time
  • Easy and convenient operation
  • Higher concentration factors
  • Compatible with most commonly used solvents
  • Easily adaptable for highly selective extraction procedures
  • Minimizes common problems associated with liquid-liquid extraction, including incomplete phase separation, less-than-quantitative recovery, and emulsion formation
  • Individual valves for each port allow convenient and independent control of sample flow
